PRAYER POINTS FOR CSMN 24 X 7 PRAYER CHAIN FOR THE BODY OF CHRIST & NIGERIA: May 24 – May 30, 2020

GENERAL APPRECIATION:  

“O give thanks unto the LORD, for he is good: for his mercy endures forever” (Psalm 107.1)

Let us give God praise for ourselves, families, our jobs, businesses, ministries, etc. Praise God that the gates of hell have not prevailed against the Church despite the desperate devices of the devil and his agents. Also thank God that He has not permitted dead bodies to litter the streets of Nigeria and Africa as some anticipated and He never will allow it.

SPECIFIC THANKSGIVING:

• That those who tried to sneak an Infectious diseases bill through have not succeeded
• Thank God that despite secret moves of evil ones around the country have continued to be revealed
• For the unfolding judgment of God upon the enemies of the gospel and of the nation’s progress
• Isa_65:24  “And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking,”I will hear”Let us still say very BIG, BIG THANKS to God for the way He has been answering our prayers in Nigeria and how He continues to hear us and answer mightily.

REPENTANCE: 2 Chr 34:27 “Because thine heart was tender, and thou didst humble thyself, …and didst rend thy clothes, and weep before Me; I have even heard thee also, saith the LORD.”

Please let us repent of all known and unknown sins: personal, your family, the Church and the nation. Also ask God for forgiveness and plead the Blood of Jesus Christ as atonement for innocent bloodletting, kidnappings, etc.

This week, let us also bring specific identificational repentance unto God for the billions of dollars paid by a military dictator to OIC to be used to Islamize Nigeria, thus making Nigeria like a lawful captive. Repent, ask God to forgive this abuse of the resources He gave us; renounce, reject, repeal the transaction Nigeria, Nigeria, we plead and redeem and repurchase you by the blood of Jesus Christ. Amen

PRAYERS: 1. TAKING CHARGE

2 Cor 10.4-5  “For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds; casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ” Every ungodly stronghold, imagination, and high thing that is set against the gospel of Jesus Christ, against His will, plans and Lordship in Nigeria or against the peaceful existence of followers of Jesus Christ in Nigeria, be pulled down, be cast down. Sorceries, invocations, enchantments released over the last one month, including altars raised to activate and empower evil after Ramadan fast, be nullified completely. We overcome all such altars, their priests, their projections and invocations, be nullified, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. (Please do so daily. A lot of enchantments are done by the evil ones round the clock and we must stand against these everyday to counter their effects).

The Blood of Jesus and the victory of the Passover prayers shall be permanent and continue to speak for the Church and nation in the wonderful name of Jesus Christ. Amen (Heb 12:24)

PRAYERS FOR THE CHURCH (May 31 is 2020 Pentecost Day; the week ends on Pentecost eve)

• Act 2:1 “And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.”Lord, in Your infinite mercy and grace, in this season of Pentecost, cause Your Church to unite like never before. Even with lockdown, Your children can be in one accord at heart and in one place through the Internet or other tools. They can be in one spiritual place – the place of Your perfect will for our lives, the Church and the nation. Help us, so to be O Lord
• Acts 2:2  “And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house”. Lord, let Your mighty wind come rushing once more. Pour out Your Spirit upon us, upon the Body of Christ, let Your fire fall again on Your Church, O Lord
• Acts 2:6  “…the multitude came together, and were confounded, because that every man heard them speak in his own language….And they were all amazed and marveled” Almighty God, even in the midst of the current global confusion and perplexity, endow Your Church with fresh capacity and sounds (words, worship, prayers etc) from above to attract the world, the multitude.
• Acts 2.8 “…how hear we every man in our own tongue, wherein we were born?” O Lord, grant revelation and firm connection with heaven unto Your Church to give the world messages that every man, nation and people groups will understand unmistakably, in not debatable clarity and conviction.
• Act 2:14 “But Peter, standing up with the eleven, lifted up his voice” O Lord, help Your Church not to be perplexed with the world or fear their fear. Give Your Church heavenly boldness; enable Your Church to lift voices again and speak pure words, straight from the Father’s heart
• Act 2:41  “Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls” O Lord, please convict the world afresh to “gladly receive” Your undiluted word; let there be mighty revival Lord; please enable Your Church pull the world massively unto the Lord again in wholehearted submission
• Joe 2:28  “And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall dream dreams, your young men shall see visions” O Lord our God, in this season of Pentecost, pour Your Spirit afresh upon me, my family, and Your Church. Lift me by Your Spirit above normal human ability

PRAYERS FOR THE NATION

1. Nah. 3:1-4 “Woe to the bloody city! It is all full of lies and robbery; the prey departs not; ... and there is a multitude of slain...Because of the multitude of the whoredoms of the well-favoured harlot, the mistress of witchcrafts, that sells nations through her whoredoms, and families through her witchcrafts. Behold I am against you, says the Lord of Hosts. I will lift your skirts over your face; I will show the nations your nakedness…I will cast abominable filth upon you, and make you a spectacle” Almighty and faithful God, please stretch forth Your hand to fulfill this word in Nigeria concerning those importing foreigners to take over the lands of indigenes; who engage in sorceries to oppress and persecute your children. If they would not repent and relent, let their “young children to be dashed in pieces”, let people “cast lots for her honourable men” and their great men be bound in chains. Do this for every mistress of witchcraft and her people, in our country Nigeria now, O Lord. In-spite of their fortifications, O LORD, make fire to devour them and the sword to cut them off; make their chiefs and captains be like grasshoppers, which flee away and their place is not known anymore.  

2. Isaiah 40.11 “He shall feed his flock like a shepherd…” Lord, rather than shepherd, Nigeria has been repeatedly plagued by wolves in leadership that devour the flock. Please have mercy on Your people and give us servant leaders, true shepherds

3. Isaiah 60.1 “Arise, shine, Your light has come…” Lord in this 60th year of Nigeria’s independence, please pour out grace and enablement for Nigeria to arise and shine at last. Let Your light flood Nigeria. Also use me to uplift Nigeria.

OTHER PRAYERS

• Leah Sharibu still in captivity, and attacks still being made on people by terrorists in the north and increasingly in the South, By the word of God In Ps. 91:13,every lion, dragon and adder be trodden under the feet. Every destroyer be destroyed, every arrester be arrested; and all of God’s people be set free by the power of the Most High (Please keep doing this until there is no more trace of them). Lord, in Your mercy, this week of Children’s Day, lift Your countenance upon Leah Sharibu, Your faithful daughter. By terrible deeds in righteousness, answer us, O God
• Malachi 4.2: “Unto you that fear My name shall the Sun of Righteousness arise with healing in His wings” Our great and mighty God, in Your mighty mercy, please arise over Nigeria and the nations of the earth, especially as many as reverence Your name, and roast away the Corona Virus and COVID-19 disease
• May 27, 2020 is Children’s Day: Psalm 8.2: “Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings hast Thou ordained strength because of Thine enemies, that Thou might still the enemy and the avenger” O Lord, please glorify Your name in the lives of our children and youth. Like Daniel and David, specially ordain praise and strength upon their lives and use them to shame enemies of our nation and of the gospel. For the sake of these young ones, to give them a future and a hope, please order things aright in our nation; heal our land O God.
• May 29, 2020 has been declared Democracy Day. Shariah is a negation of democracy. Islam and Shariah, let no man eat fruit of thee again (Mark 11). Dry up to your roots and disappear
• Proclaim Psalm 46 and pray with it’s verses
• Any other prayers as your are led, including expansions and extensions of these prayer points…also prophesy; proclaim God’s wordover your life, family, the Church and Nigeria
