PRAYER POINTS FOR THE 24/7 PRAYER CHAIN FOR THE BODY OF CHRIST AND NIGERIA, July 12 - 18, 2020

THANKSGIVING
Psa 92:1   “It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto Thy name, O most High”: We thank You our Father for the stirring in the place of prayer and other moves among Your people, to enthrone Your Counsel and true democracy in Nigeria.

Phil 2:13 – “For it is God Who works in you both to will and to do of His good pleasure”

Thank You for inclining our hearts to seek You; and thank You as You continue to work in us to will and do of Your good pleasure. 

Psa 133:1, 3b – “Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!...for there the LORD commanded the blessing, even life for evermore”
Father, thank You for the unity in the body. We bless You that the wall of denomination is crumbling.

John 8:12 KJV – “Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life” Abba Father, thank You so much that You have not left us in the dark regarding where we missed it as a people. 

Rev 3:19 KJV – “As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent”: We adore You, O Lord our God, for Your loving rebuke and chastisements. It's only a mark of Your great  love for  us. We accept it and praise You

REPENTANCE
Jer 22:21 “I spake unto thee in thy prosperity; but thou saidst, I will not hear. This hath been thy manner from thy youth, that thou obeyedst not my voice” Lord, we still repent of the sin of rebellion and disobedience. Paying deaf ears to Your warnings to us as a church, we see what today has befallen us and our leaders in the Nation. Even our rulers and ourselves struggle under captivity of the enemy. Humiliation and shame stare us in the face today, because we neglected Your loving cautions.  Forgive us and be merciful unto us, oh Lord, our God !

Lam 1:5 KJV- “Her adversaries are the chief, her enemies prosper; for the LORD hath afflicted her for the multitude of her transgressions: her children are gone into captivity before the enemy”: Father this is our plight as a church in Nigeria. We ask that You pardon our iniquities and in mercy turn around every captivity in the name of Jesus Christ. We plead Your mercy, oh Lord!

Father, specifically as representatives of Your Church in Nigeria, we repent of spurning your servant, Pa Grandois Elton in the 70s/80s. We are sorry, Lord for rejecting Your counsel through him against importing Christianity that focused on raising and beautifying physical structures over and above labouring and making disciples of all men. The men neglected have today turned out Boko Haram, rapists and kidnappers. We take responsibilities, Lord and plead for mercy. We also turned our backs on your servant Pstr Bosun Emmanuel towards and during the 2015 elections in Nigeria.

We repent of willfully disdaining and disregarding Your loving counsels from these men and several others who at the jeopardy of their lives and comfort of their own families spoke against the powers that be in order to stop us from committing grievous error to our own hurt.

FATHER, by words and action, we have from our youths  said - "we will not hearken!".Please forgive us, we plead.

THE CHURCH

Zech 1:17 “Cry yet, saying, Thus saith the LORD of hosts; My cities through prosperity shall yet be spread abroad; and the LORD shall yet comfort Zion, and shall yet choose Jerusalem”
Father, let the church in Nigeria and Your people spread out again in prosperity. Comfort Zion and cause the church to arise and execute Your counsel in Nigeria

Zec 8:3 “Thus saith the LORD; I am returned unto Zion, and will dwell in the midst of Jerusalem: and Jerusalem shall be called a city of truth; and the mountain of the LORD of hosts, the holy mountain”: O Lord, thank You as in Your great mercy, you pardon our iniquities and return unto Your Church in Nigeria. We cling, O Lord, to your promise of restoration

Zech 8:12 “For the seed shall be prosperous; the vine shall give her fruit, and the ground shall give her increase, and the heavens shall give their dew; and I will cause the remnant of this people to possess all these things” Lord, cause that our seed will be prosperous. And the effort of AFD and various other bodies will yield fruit, in the name of Jesus Christ.
Let the ground give her increase and the Heaven their dew.
Cause the remnant of Your people to posses the land. Work out deliverance in Zion, Lord; cause the house of Jacob, Your people, to posses its possession in Nigeria.

Prov. 14:34  “Righteousness exalts a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people”: Clothe and baptize Your church afresh with holiness and righteousness, that by righteousness Your children and Nigeria may be exalted

THE NATION

Psa 11:3 “If the foundations be destroyed, what can the righteous do?”: O, Abba Father, visit the foundation of Nigeria. Let every evil foundation which Nigeria was built upon crumble and shatter by fire.

1Co 3:11 “For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ” God has set His children over the nations and the kingdoms. Nigeria, now be re-established upon the righteous foundation of Jesus Christ and become unshakable as a house on a rock.

Mat 18:18 “Verily I say unto you, whatsoever ye shall bind on earth shall be bound in heaven: and whatsoever ye shall loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven”: What we forbid on earth is forbidden in Heaven. We therefore, exercise our divine authority in Christ Jesus and command the demonic matrimony entered by the colonial lords and the feudalists over Nigeria, subjecting the West and South under Northern feudalists to  be broken. We revoke, reject, renounce and disallow any sustenance of it; we command it to break and scatter by the blood of Jesus.

Rev 12:11– “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony;…”:

• We release the Blood of Jesus to saturate and correct the foundation of Nigeria and everything that has been perverted by that faulty foundation now.
• We plead the blood of everlasting covenant over the entire atmosphere, the length, breadth, depths and heights of Nigeria
• Over the seats of governance we invoke the power of the blood of Jesus Christ to fight, overturn, topple all altars and thrones of wickedness and evil. We prevail over them by the blood of Jesus Christ.

Isa 10:27 “And it shall come to pass in that day, that his burden shall be taken away from off thy shoulder, and his yoke from off thy neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing”: Every yoke of captivity and bondage over the land and people of Nigeria be broken even as the spirit of God hovers over the land now in the name of Jesus Christ. (Gen:1:2)

1 Timothy 1:18: We stand upon the prophecies that have gone forth concerning Nigeria. "Nigeria shall be safest to dwell in. Nigeria shall be the catalyst (shoot our point) through which the gospel and end time revival shall spread to the continents of the earth”

• Father, we wage war in the heavenlies by the name and the glory of Jesus Christ. We insist there be a performance of these prophecies. Merciful God, let the set time of favor Zion (the people of God in Nigeria)  be now.
• Every throne, altar, group, persons that stand or seek to stand against fulfillment of these prophecies, fall for our sake y the word of the Lord in the name of Jesus Christ.  Lord, let Your fire burst forth revival  from Nigeria and let it swallow up the ongoing satanic revival in our land in the name of Jesus.
• We frustrate all evil efforts, structures and arrangements. We command them to be silenced  and destroyed in Jesus name.

Prayer for AFD, CSMN, 48-Man Prayer Team, and various labours for enthronement of God's counsel over  Nigeria.

• Lord, please cover and shield all of your people involved in these moves.
  May we not operate in darkness but in Your clear, definite revelation and direction in the name of Jesus Christ.
• Let strength, passion, zeal, and fire be renewed in Your vessels, O Lord: evangelical fire, prayer fire, fire for sustained labour with tangible results and impact.
• We will not lack anything good as your divine power has provided us all we need to live life and fulfill Your counsel.

OTHERS
Luke 10.19 “Behold, I give unto you power…over all the power of the enemy…”: Every power by which Boko Haram, other Jihadists and the captors of Leah Sharibu and others in captivity are operating, be nullified and shattered altogether. We insist on the immediate release of Leah Sharibu and others  captured, in the name of Jesus Christ.

We also decree a stop to these killings and invasion of Christian communities; and all other terrorist and Jihadist actions and menace in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen. 
Thank You Lord for hearing and answering us as always and releasing Your angels to enforce this decree.

Lord, please in mercy heal any affected by COVID-19 except such as You have permitted in judgment or for correction. Also, please strengthen those combating the disease and visit Your wrath upon those manipulating it for gain or other selfish ends.

Psalm 46.9 “He makes wars to cease…”: Every plan for war against another community to seize land, against any group to abduct people, against any faith to intimidate and compel conversion to another faith, or plan of war or bloodshed for any other motive be totally frustrated. Wars cease!

Proclaim Jer-33. Pray any other prayers as led or persuaded.
