It was tragic.
After being driven from their homes by Islamist terrorists, the Christians became IDPs and fled to Fufore LGA in Adamawa state. Dispersed from various villages, with no means of sustenance, they hired a parcel of land to farm. In the days and weeks following, they looked forward to a bountiful harvest to stave off the famine and hunger that threatened their vulnerable families. The Christians planted maize, rice, beans and groundnut. After the harvest, the farm produce was stacked together awaiting distribution to the various IDP families.
