In April 2022, the Lay Faithful Trust Foundation was informed about an outbreak of infection at the Mercy IDP Camp, Zonkwa, Zango Kataf LGA, Southern Kaduna. The infection was due to overcrowding, poor hygienic condition in the Camp, and insufficient basic amenities.
Lay Faithful Trust Foundation responded immediately by requesting that a 3-man team of medical doctors visit the camp for proper medical diagnosis. Accompanied by our Field Reps, the following doctors first went to the camp to diagnose the illness as well as prescribe treatment.
They are:
Dr. P. Yohanna
Dr. I. Yashim
Dr. G. Goje
The medical treatment for the affected IDPs was done on Friday 22nd April 2022. We are grateful to the doctors for their free service to God and to humanity. We also thank our Field Reps, Bro. David, and Sister Laura for their consistent assistance.
Lay Faithful Trust Foundation provided funds, donated by generous Christian, to purchase drugs for the treatment of all the affected persons on the camp. Many of the children were affected. There are over 3,000 registered Christians in the IDP Camp.
We thank all the brethren who generously donate to support the work amongst the IDPs. God bless you and replenish your purse.
Please find below this report some of the pictures of the medical intervention.
