INTRODUCTION
Hear the word of the Lord to Nigeria on October 21, 2020 at a gathering of the Wailing Women Int’l:
- “Weep no more. The God of all comfort is with Nigeria. The Lord has come to wipe away the tears of Nigeria…It is just praise that I need....Give Me high praise. It is only your praise that will counter what the adversary has done. They want you to mourn and groan but counter it with praise.” ALSO:

PRAYER 1: “O worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness: fear before Him all the earth” – Psm96.9
- Almighty God, help believers, and help all Nigerians to have true reverence and fear for you, and so to live in righteousness. Please start with me…and change us all by Your power
- O Lord, cleanse us with Your precious blood, lead us in the paths of righteousness, and help us to worship You in the beauty of holiness
PRAYER 2: “But the hour is coming and now is, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him” – John 4.23
- Lord, of our own, we can do nothing. Give us grace and enablement, work in us to will and do to Your good pleasure, to worship You in Spirit and in truth
- Lord, by Your Spirit and Your grace, stir the Church in Nigeria to be a people that satisfy Your search for worship in Spirit and in truth. In this Lord, please make me and my house a prime part of those filling Your quest for true worshippers, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen
- Help us Lord to praise and worship You not only in the flesh; not to please anyone, to conform or belong; not only for the yearnings of our hearts; not even for just what You have done for us. Irrespective of what we are seeing and feeling, help us to praise and worship You for Who You are; and for what we trust that You are working out in our lives, our families, the Church and the nation.
PRAYER 3: ”From the rising of the sun to the going down…the Lord’s name is to be praised” – Psalm 113.3
- O Lord, Nigeria has millions of Christians and thousands of congregations. Please help us to harness these potent resources and possibilities to sustain ceaseless, effectual and fervent praise and prayers.
- Help us lift our attention beyond self, to seek Your will, Your kingdom and Your righteousness; that righteousness may exalt us personally, the Church and the nation, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
PRAYER 4: Faithful God, as we praise and worship You, per Your promises in Psalm 67, please:
- “God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause His face to shine upon us; that Thy way may be known upon earth, Thy saving health among all nations” (v1-2)
- “judge the people righteously, and govern the nations upon earth” (v4), beginning with the ethnic nationalities of Nigeria; and between Nigeria and foreign powers fueling terrorism and other evils
- Let Nigeria’s “earth yield her increase” (v5)
- Lord in mercy, “bless us; and all the ends of the earth shall fear” You the living God
Our prayers are in the mighty, unfailing name of Jesus Christ. Amen
PRAYER 5:
Pray other prayers you are led or burdened to pray; including prayers that violence shall no longer be heard in Nigeria and all those that have dared to raid places of Christian worship and those who sponsored them all receive God’s righteous judgment, and there shall be no more of such; that the recent protests will advance God’s purposes for Nigeria; prayers for release of Leah Sharibu and others; that the older generation in Nigeria be shaken from lethargy and be emboldened to speak up and fulfill their roles in the birthing of the new nation of Nigeria; that God’s righteousness cover the earth, etc.
