PRAYER POINTS FOR THE 24/7 PRAYER CHAIN FOR THE BODY OF CHRIST & NIGERIA, Apr 18 - 24, 2021
- GIVE THANKS TO GOD for His mercies, His great grace and for His prophetic agenda for Nigeria which will not change and will not fail (Isaiah 55 v 11, Isaiah 44 v 26-28, Isaiah 45 v 23)
- REPENTANCE: Repent unto the Lord for yourself, the Church and the nation
2. Let us repent on behalf of the Leadership of the Body of Christ, for the numerous sins of the Church in Nigeria: the deficiencies, the inadequacies, the worldliness, the pride, the workings of the flesh, the disobedience and the carnality of Church leaders towards the land and the Lord’s sheep, and concerning the Body politics in Nigeria and widespread indifference to national affairs (1 John 2 v 15-17; Jeremiah 17 v 14, Jeremiah 30 v 17, Jeremiah 8 v 7)
3. Let us repent before the LORD once again for the disunity in the Leadership of the Church organization in Nigeria; a lingering sore on the feet of the Church, weakening the Body of Christ, bringing much reproach on the Church; a disease causing the Nation to bleed from widespread Bloodshed, gradual destruction of the Economy with attendant civil unrest, unemployment, poverty, wanton killings of the innocent; a general breakdown of law and order (2 Chronicle 7 v 14, Isaiah 57 v 16-18, James 4 v 10)
4. Repentance for the gradual destruction of the Same Souls For Which God has Made the Church accountable. Lord, circumcise the hearts of our Leaders afresh; Purge them of the Leaven of the Laws and the opinions of men. Lord, circumcise the hearts, ears, eyes Mouth of our Church leadership afresh; deliver them from every form of Corruption. Help them to see your prescription of godly leadership (Matthew 5 v 20, Matthew 16 v 6, 11, Mark 8 v 15, John 17 v 17)
5. Deliver an Unsanctified Church Leadership from Destruction. Deliver your Sheep from the grip of an unsanctified Church hirelings. Deliver your heritage from reproach; Judge carnality in the midst of Church leadership. LORD, destroy carnality from your fold (Isaiah 56 v 11, Zechariah 11 v 15 -17)
6. Sanctify Your People, O Lord, Sanctify, Your Name in the Land. By your blood, sprinkle this nation again, by your blood let the true Leadership emerge, by your blood, let the true Church arise; by your Spirit, baptize us afresh
(Psalm 89 v 14, Proverb 28 v 1-10).
7. Let Your True Leaders arise upon Nigeria. Sanctify those that You have reserved for this hour: Alight upon your chosen ones for Church Leadership. Bring forth your Nehemiahs. Release your Witnesses to the fields. Please pour upon them your Spirit of Wisdom, strength and favour. Let the work of rebuilding begin afresh, we ask in the name of Jesus Christ (Isaiah 25 v 4, Isaiah 26 v 4, Isaiah 27 v 5, Isaiah 28 v 6, Daniel 1 v 4, 9)
8. Please pray that God in His mercy will guide, strengthen and shield faithful and true servants of God in the land from the wiles of the devil; from harassment, oppression and opposition; keep them in health and peace; provide for them; and help them to remain uncompromised
9. Ask God to intervene, let “the right hand of the Lord do valiantly” (Psalm 118.15) to release Leah Sharibu, Alice Ngadah and all abducted persons still in the hands of their captors. Thank God for the Catholic Church that built about 80 houses to resettle IDPs in Adamawa. Let God bless them and touch more Christians to show concern. Let God do what He alone can do to free and resettle IDPs in their God-given homelands
10. Pray for God to touch the hearts and open the eyes of the children of the bondwoman. Let all ignorantly following a blind path encounter and receive Jesus Christ. Pray that they will come out from fasting free and knowing the Truth
10. Pray against evil forces of division, disunity and confusion in Nigeria; pray for equity and justice for all people.
11. Pray for yourself and your family that your light shall shine so much that men shall see good works and love God more because of you and yours. Pray same for other believers in Nigeria. Ask God to use you and others for His glory.
12. Pray any other prayers as you are burdened or stirred in your heart
