PRAYER POINTS FOR THE 24x7 PRAYER CHAIN FOR THE BODY OF CHRIST & NIGERIA, April 9 - 15, 2023
THANKSGIVING & WORSHIP: Psa 103:2-4 “Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits. Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies” There is hardly a better time than this period of Easter to specially recognize God’s awesome grace of salvation; the great price paid by Jesus Christ with His own life and blood; the cross He bore for us; the wounds (stripes) by which we are healed; and the hope we have in Him for ourselves, our families, and our nation; in this life and eternity. Eph_2:13 “But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ” Let us really thank God with all our heart.
REPENTANCE: Again, this is prime time to truly repent and ask God for mercy and forgiveness for all of your sins, and the sins of your family, the Church and Nigeria, and for the contributions of Christians to the woes that believers and Nigeria are now facing by ignoring prophetic warnings. Pray for grace to turn and live in obedience; that our land may be healed (2 Chron. 7.14)
FOCUS: Overcoming by the blood and the word of the testimony (Rev 12.11)
PRAYER POINTS :
- THE BLOOD
- Rev 12:11“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb” On the cross, Jesus Christ said ‘IT IS FINISHED’. Soon as His sinless blood touched the ground, our deliverance and victory were settled. What are the things that must be overcome in {a} Your life and your family {b} The Body of Christ; and {c.} Our nation Nigeria?
Go right ahead, identify and plead the blood of Jesus Christ upon the roots and the fruits of these things and overcome them, including sin, fear, inadequate faith, sickness, corruption, oppression etc
- THE WORD (NB: we take it that “their testimony” in Rev 12.11 refers primarily to the word of God)
- Psm 103:3-5“All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth” and Luk_10:19“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you” O thank God that Jesus Christ came to seek and to save the lost like you, me, and Nigeria; and by His victory at resurrection, the devil is no more the supreme on earth. Ask God for grace to fully exercise the power Christ has given us “over all the power of the enemy”
- By the power given you “over all the power of the enemy”, command and decree that the devil and His agents vacate any place they are presently occupying and/or operating in {a} Your life and your family {b} The Body of Christ; and {c.} Our nation Nigeria
Sack the devil and His agents and erase all of Satan’s policies, principles, laws, ordinances and programming by the blood of Jesus Christ
- Rev 12:10“Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God” Ultimate universal rule and reign of Christ will be at the rapture but before then, “of the increase of His government and peace, there shall be no end; upon the throne of David and upon His kingdom” (Isaiah 9.7). NOW in Nigeria is come “the kingdom of our God”. Proclaim the end of the era of pervasive corruption the beginning of the New Nigeria, where nations will come here to learn righteousness; where peace and joy in the Holy Ghost will reign
- Regarding all the electoral matters before human judges, pray that the Judge of the entire universe shall impose His righteous Judgement over human judges. Decree that the counsel of God shall stand; disallow all miscarriage of justice through bribery, ethnicity etc. Plead the blood of Jesus Christ over all animal and human blood shed to manipulate the verdicts by sorcery and witchcraft
- Pray other prayers for current national issues as you have observed or are burdened to pray.
- SPECIAL PRAYERS: Pro_29:2“When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice” (a) God delivered Israel from Pharaoh about this time of year; same for Esther/Mordecai and the Jews; same for Peter at Easter (Acts 12). Pray that will do it again in Nigeria (b) That through the courts or by any means God chooses in His sovereignty, God will reverse and restore every stolen political mandate and establish the true choice of Nigerians (c) Lord have mercy on Leah Sharibu and all others abducted and still in the hands of their captors. Please raise political leaders that will set them free. (d) Defend Your children from Jihad in S/Kaduna, Jos and other Christian territories (e.) Have mercy on IDPs and enable them return to their homes.
