PRAYER POINTS FOR THE 24/7 PRAYER CHAIN FOR THE BODY OF CHRIST & NIGERIA, Feb 21 - 27, 2021
THANKSGIVING: “Blessed be the LORD: For he hath shown me His marvelous kindness in a strong city” (Psalms 31:21)
- Please adore, praise and worship the Lord for His sustaining power over our lives as individuals, families, the Church and Nigeria despite diverse difficulties ranging – the pandemic, herdsmen killings, kidnaps, rapes, insecurity, economic hardship, severe persecutions etc. It's been by God’s mercies that we are not consumed.
- Worship the Lord for sustaining His people in the place of prayers against all odds
- Thank the Lord for His grace in the recently concluded National Repentance prayers
- We say 'thank You, Father', for various answers to our prayers. Indeed, God has not asked us to seek Him in vain. Thank You, Lord.
REPENTANCE
- Let’s repent and seek forgiveness for giving in often to temptation or getting overwhelmed by the contrary events and threats of the enemies of God’s kingdom. thereby unconsciously helping in propagating, exalting and selling their lies more than propagating the infallible truth of God.
THE CHURCH
- We ask for a sweeping surge / wave of revival across the Body of Christ in Nigeria and worldwide
- Pray that God will rant us the needed balance in waging war and not losing focus rather, advancing in Kingdom building and expansion like Nehemiah in Jesus name.
- We arrest and we turn back fear and distractions of all sorts in the name of Jesus.
- Every reproach and shame on the Church we command to be rolled away by the Power of Holy Ghost.
NIGERIA
- We break and destroy the contrary foundation of evil , wickedness and occultism Nigeria politics and governance is built upon.
- The altar that hinders even godly or good hearted persons who enter into politics and governance from succeeding (are subdued or frustrated out)
- “If foundation be destroyed what shall the righteous do?” (Psalm 11.3). We lay foundation of righteousness.
- We decree henceforth, evil men will no longer excel in governance and politics in Jesus name.
- Command that the importation of foreigners, via the northern borders to infringe on our already weak economy / resources, to destabilize peace and heighten terrorist action be terminated.
- All evil schemes, including schemes to stealthily create colonies through settlement of herdsmen in the forests, schemes to spread false gods etc, be utterly frustrated by the efficacy of the Blood of Jesus.
- Let the heads and voices of right men under the tables of evil and corrupt rulers be liberated, lifted and enthroned
- Pray for Leah Sharibu's release and other Christians in similar situation
- O Lord, please pull me out of the net that they have laid secretly for me: for thou art my strength
