PRAYER THEME: Passover
God has been doing particularly awesome things through the ages at about this time of year. The Bible says there is a time and a season for everything. God also encourages us to ask for certain things at the right time: Zec_10:1 “Ask ye of the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain; so the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain”. We should key into the Passover season for awesome wonders.
PRAYER POINTS:
- Plead the blood of Jesus Christ over the doorpost of your spirit, soul and body, your family, over all that concern you, over the Church / the Body of Christ, and over the entire nation. Ask for cleansing and sanctification of God’s own by the blood, and that the blood will speak redemption and deliverance to the unsaved.
- At Passover, God moved through the land of Egypt and dealt such a blow that stubborn adversaries and opposition gave way (Exodus 12.11,51). Pray that the Lord will move through Nigeria in this season and do whatever is necessary that those who insist on killing or oppressing His children will give in, thus ending killings, oppression, and forceful takeover of Christian communities.
- In this season, God drowned those who insisted on re-enslaving Israelites whom God had set free. Pray that God Who drowned Pharaoh and his armies will nullify anyone, any organization, or any power that insists on perpetuating enslavement or oppression of God’s people or doing things capable of destroying Nigeria. Decree upon the wicked the written judgment: Eze_18:20 “The soul that sinneth, it shall die.…and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.”
- About this time of year, God came unto Joshua and Israel as Captain of the Army of the Lord, gave them precise direction on their obstacles, and took them into their Promise Land (Joshua 5 & 6). Pray that God will come unto His children in Nigeria, give us clear and specific direction regarding our challenges, take the Church and Nigeria into the fullness of God’s plans and purposes, and terminate every satanic pathway the devil has been trying to drive Nigeria
- At this time of year, Herod was disappointed and disgraced in his plans to kill Peter and stop the growth of the Church (Acts 12). Pray that God would send His angel to free every believer in captivity including Leah Sharibu and Alice Ngadah, uproot and disgrace every person using power or authority to kill, condone killing, mastermind killing or oppression of believers.
- At about this time of year, Jesus Christ our Lord died and rose again, giving hope to the hopeless and a new beginning for humanity. Pray that God will pardon Nigeria’s grievous sins, nail them to the cross, have mercy upon us, resurrect Nigeria’s dying polity and economy, give hope to Nigeria’s hopeless and the nation itself, and give Nigeria a new beginning
- Prophesy unto the four winds to blow upon Nigeria, give fresh life to the dry bones of the Church and the nation, to rise up and conquer the unsaved of Nigeria and the world for Jesus Christ (Ez.37).
OTHER PRAYERS:
- Pray that God will not permit any section, religion or ethnic group to aggravate any other to the point of uncontrolled genocide or war. “He makes wars to cease…” - Psalm 46.9
- Pray that the herdsmen crisis in Western Nigeria will not degenerate but be resolved equitably
- Pray that the government of Kwara State and all involved in the Hijab imposition crisis will tow the path of fairness and justice, leading to a peaceful and equitable resolution
- Pray for the speedy release of all kidnapped by “bandits” in Kaduna or elsewhere and exposure of any evil plot and persons involved
- Lord, Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done, and Thy name be glorified in my life, family & Nigeria
