THANKSGIVING: Psa 113:3 “From the rising of the sun unto the going down of the same the LORD'S name is to be praised.” God has done so, so much that if we thank and praise Him from dawn to dusk, it won’t be close to enough. Please praise God as you can.
REPENTANCE: Ask God for pardon for all of your sins, those of your family, the Church and Nigeria; pray for grace to "turn from...wicked ways" and live in obedience; that our land may be healed (2 Chron 7.14). Pray for a new era of sustained righteousness in your life, family, the Church and the nation
FOCUS OF THE WEEK: God’s battle axe to advance His purposes and shape Nigeria and beyond in 2022
PRAYER POINTS:
- APPRECIATION: Jer_51:20“Thou art my battle axe and weapons of war: for with thee will I break in pieces the nations, and with thee will I destroy kingdoms.” Let us thank God that the Almighty Who can fight with angels and with anything has chosen believers, His children as His battle axe
- MERCY: Rom_9:20 “…who art thou that repliest against God? …” Let’s repent of every way in which we have questioned or doubted God’s wisdom and acted according to our thoughts and assumptions, by which we have failed to be effective battle axes in His hands
- FRESH SURRENDER & AVAILABILITY: Jer_18:4 “And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it. O house of Israel, cannot I do with you as this potter? saith the LORD. Behold, as the clay is in the potter's hand, so are ye in Mine hand, O house of Israel.” Jehovah, You are the potter, we are just clay. Please re-mould us into new threshing instruments with sharp teeth as is right and pleasing unto You and use us as Your battle axe for Nigeria and beyond this year. Please start with me, Lord.
- SELF PREPARATION: Eph_6:13“Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God.” Ask God to help you and the Church in Nigeria to do ALL the things that are in our power. There are things that we can “put on” to be ready and fit for the Lord’s use as His battle axe: the helmet of salvation, breastplate of righteousness etc (see Eph 6.11-17). Pray for grace to do ALL that is in your power, our power; that we shall be ready for use as His battle axe against all rebellion, wickedness and disobedience, in Nigeria and beyond; that the wickedness we saw in past years shall not prevail again.
- FUNCTIONING AS BATTLE AXE: Eph 6:18 “Praying always with all prayer and supplication…” By faith, begin to function as God’s battle axe. Delete cultists and occultists who are jostling to rule from the race; dethrone wicked rulers in traditional thrones, Federal, State, Ministries, Agencies etc; dry up the financiers of evil and wickedness; call forth a new era of righteousness per Pa Elton’s prophecy. Not just now but henceforth, keep “Praying always with all prayer and supplication”
- MATTERS ARISING IN THE NATION: Pray for other matters arising in the nation as you have observed and/or as the Spirit of God leads you

- Mat_21:44 “And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder” Pray that Leah Sharibu shall BY NO MEANS remain in captivity for another year, likewise others held by abductors; decree that all spiritual forces and human structures keeping Leah Sharibu bound should collapse, leading to her freedom in a glorious testimony
