THANKSGIVING & REPENTANCE: John 19:30 “Jesus… said, It is finished: and He bowed His head…” Let us heartily thank God that the redemptive work of Christ was conclusive and total: to deliver us bring us the blessings of Abraham; to redeem us, to fetch us out of darkness into His marvelous light. Also, appropriate this grace; ask God for mercy and forgiveness for all of your sins, those of your family, the Church and Nigeria; pray for grace to "turn from...wicked ways" and live in obedience; that our land may be healed (2 Chron. 7.14). Seek God’s help for sustained righteousness in your life, family, the Church and the nation.
FOCUS OF THE WEEK: 30th Season Breakthroughs in the 30th week of Nigeria’s Year from Oct 2021
PRAYER POINTS:
Jer 30:3 “For, lo, the days are coming, says the LORD, that I will bring again the captivity of My people Israel and Judah…and I will cause them to return to the land that I gave to their fathers, and they shall possess it.”
- Thank God for His great mercy in pardoning our sins and intervening mightily in Nigeria, for His name’s sake and for the sake of the blood of Jesus Christ that was shed for us
- Thank God that the time has come to bring back the captivity of the Church in Nigeria, to break its subordination and terminate all oppression; and thank God as He does so now, this week [pray with faith, hope and expectation]
- Thank God for shaking all shakeables, breaking all breakables, and turning all turntables, and moving or removing all necessary to release Leah Sharibu and others in captivity and to return IDPs to their ancestral homelands
Jer 30:6-7 “Ask ye now, and see whether a man doth travail with child? wherefore do I see every man with his hands on his loins, as a woman in travail, and all faces are turned into paleness? Alas! for that day is great, so that none is like it: it is even the time of Jacob's trouble; but he shall be saved out of it.” Truly Lord, by our hands we brought great trouble upon ourselves. It has been the time of the Church’s trouble. In mercy Lord, P-L-E-A-S-E save the Church from it
Jer 30:8 “For it shall come to pass in that day, says the LORD of hosts, that I will break his yoke from off thy neck, and will burst thy bonds, and strangers shall no more enslave them” Ask God in mercy to burst the bonds of Jihadists, foreign mercenaries, colluding well-placed Nigerians in the government, private sector, the military, traditional rulers etc if any; and to uproot all such from their places and paralyze them.
Jer 30:9 “But they shall serve the LORD their God, and David their king, whom I will raise up unto them” Pray for God to raise for us a David, a covenant-keeping and righteous king after God’s heart, who shall love and shepherd Nigeria and Nigerians. Also pray that Nigerians shall henceforth love and serve the Most High God. PLEASE also read Jeremiah 30.18-24 and pray with each verse as the Lord stirs you.
MATTERS ARISING IN THE NATION: Pray for other matters arising in the nation as observed or as the Spirit of God leads; cast down evil imaginations that lead men to attack airports, trains, etc; pray that in the ensuing political activities, God’s counsel shall stand in all irrespective of what the hearts of men have devised; pray for an end to the war in Ukraine; pray for Israel etc.; and give thanks and praise to God.

- Mat_21:44 “And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder” Pray that Leah Sharibu shall be set ON OR BEFORE HER 19TH BIRTHDAY on May 13 or 14; and other less-known persons in captivity like her
