CSMN held a meeting on 21st March, 2020 in Lagos, (below limit of Govt. restriction on Public Health) and the brethren in attendance agreed as follows:

SUPPORT FOR IDPs

Participating brethren agreed that mobilization of Christians, to take care of persecuted Christians, particularly those in IDP camps, should be sustained. Other areas of concern are provision of Christian intervention on issues affecting Christians and Democracy in the country.

REHABILITATION AND EMPOWERMENT OF PERSECUTED CHRISTIANS

Rehabilitation and Empowerment of Christians affected by the religious insurgency originating from northern Nigeria should be cardinal objective of Christians all over the country. The meeting agreed that it would be "irresponsible" of Nigerian Christians if this is not done. Therefore, CSMN should deploy quality amount of resources to provide this intervention.

24/7 PRAYERS FOR THE CHURCH AND NIGERIA

The meeting emphasized the need for ceaseless intercessory prayers for the Church and for the country. Towards this end, all Christians are encouraged to participate in the 24/7 prayers going on for Nigeria. Christians are encouraged to pick a time slot during the week and pray for only 30 minutes weekly.

SELF DEFENSE IS LEGAL

In view of the security threats all over the country, the meeting advocated that Nigerians should organize to defend themselves. The brethren reiterated that self defense is legal under the law.

CHRISTIAN POLITICAL PLATFORM

The meeting also agreed that CSMN shall re-launch the Christian political platform in preparation for 2023 and subsequent elections. The meeting took note of the Vision of CSMN which states, “GOVERNMENT UPON HIS SHOULDERS”, based on Isaiah 9: 6.
Towards this end, CSMN is encouraging all active members to join in mobilizing a minimum of 10 million active Christian members into the Movement. The meeting acknowledged that CSMN is the authentic socio-political arm of the Church registered by the five Church groups in 2001.
CSMN clarifies that it is building a Christian political platform, not a political party.

CHRISTIAN PARTICIPATION

Christians are urged to assist in the achievement of these goals by using their personal contacts and Social Media handles to mobilize Christians, particularly those within their sphere of influence.

ACCOUNTABILITY

To achieve these goals, the meeting urged all Christians, particularly those who register as active members of CSMN, to contribute, at least, 500 Naira monthly to fund the Movement according to the Declaration of Policies of CSMN.
CSMN shall continue to display transparency and accountability by making public on its website, the donations it receives as well as its expenses.
