Tsaunin Mayau was attacked for the third time by Fulani terrorists on 27th March 2022. The terrorists came on 50 motor bikes. Each motor bike carried three armed men in an unprovoked and unwarranted attack against the 96% Christian community.
At the end of the mayhem, Tsaunin Mayau suffered the following losses:
• 20 unarmed Christians were killed
• 9 houses were burnt
• ECWA Church was burnt
• 150 head of cattle rustled
• Goats and sheep were stolen
• Vehicles and motorcycles of the residents were burnt
• Food storage was destroyed
Some kind hearted people responded immediately after the attack and provided foodstuff to the survivors. Unfortunately, the food stuff was reportedly intercepted by some unscrupulous government officials, and it did not get to the affected people.
