PRAYER POINTS FOR THE 24/7 PRAYER CHAIN FOR THE BODY OF CHRIST & NIGERIA, May 29 – June 4, 2022
THANKSGIVING: Psa_93.1-2 “It is a good thing to give thanks unto the LORD, and to sing praises unto Thy name, O most High: To shew forth Thy loving kindness in the morning, and Thy faithfulness every night” God deserves our praise and worship 24x7. It is not even enough. Please give Him the much you can for all His goodness to you, all dear to you, to the Church and to Nigeria.
REPENTANCE: Also, ask God for mercy and forgiveness for all of your sins, those of your family, the Church and Nigeria; pray for grace to "turn from...wicked ways" and live in obedience; that our land may be healed (2 Chron. 7.14). Seek God’s help for sustained righteousness in the land.
FOCUS OF THE WEEK: Scattering the wicked; exalting the righteous
PRAYER POINTS:
Psa 92:4 “For thou, LORD, hast made me glad through Thy work: I will triumph in the works of thy hands” Pray that God will do a work in Nigeria that will make His children and indeed all of Nigeria glad. Ask God to help the Church in Nigeria triumph by the work of His hands
Psa 92:7 “When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity do flourish; it is that they shall be destroyed forever” The wicked have multiplied in Nigeria by diverse means, including the importation of aliens; injustice and no punishment. Decree the utter destruction of those who will not repent along with all their altars, arrangements, institutions and plantings in Nigeria….that such will never arise again.
Psa 92:9 “For, lo, Thine enemies, O LORD,…shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered” In this season of political transition, decree a scattering of the enemies of the Lord, those in government at all levels, in corporate boardrooms, in the forests, in other nations – sponsoring, aiding, abetting evil opposition to the Lord and against the gospel in Nigeria
Psa 92:10 “But my horn shalt thou exalt like the horn of an unicorn: I shall be anointed with fresh oil” Pray to God to exalt the righteous in this season, by election and/or by God’s sovereign arrangement and intervention, let the righteous come into dominion
Psa 92:12 “The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree...Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God” It is God that works in us to will and to do to God’s good pleasure. Pray that God will help you and all of the Church to be obedient, righteous and truly planted in the house of the Lord, that righteousness may exalt Nigeria henceforth
Psa_10:15 “Break thou the arm of the wicked and the evil man: seek out his wickedness till thou find none” Pray and decree that the arms of those holding Leah Sharibu, the Train attack abductees and others unjustly held in captivity, those supplying, financing, encouraging and supporting them
MATTERS ARISING IN THE NATION: Pray for other matters arising in the nation as observed or as the Spirit of God leads; cast down evil imaginations that lead men to attack airports, trains, etc. Pray that in the ongoing political party primaries etc, God’s counsel shall stand in all irrespective of what the hearts of men have devised; pray for an end to the war in Ukraine; pray for Israel etc.; and give thanks and praise to God.

- Eze_21:27“I will overturn, overturn, overturn, it: and it shall be no more, until he come whose right it is; and I will give it him” Leadership is so crucial to the peace and progress of Nigeria and the peaceable practice and advancement of the Christian faith. As the party primaries approach, partner with God to enthrone His choice of leader by decreeing that all evil and incapable candidates be blocked, overturned, cut off and God’s choice alone be enthroned over Nigeria.
