THANKSGIVING & WORSHIP: Isaiah 44.8 “Is there a God beside me? yea, there is no God; I know not any” Nigeria is blessed and highly favoured to have and to know the true and living God. By His mercy and power, Nigeria’s morning has come. IT IS A NEW DAWN. It remains for us to build on and fully establish this. Like Mother Mary, we have much cause to praise God Almighty. Let us do so heartily. Give God thanks, praise and glory for all He has done for you, your family, the Church and Nigeria.
REPENTANCE: Also, ask God for mercy and forgiveness for all of your sins, your family’s, the Church and Nigeria; pray for grace to turn and live in obedience; that our land may be healed (2 Chron. 7.14).

PRAYER POINTS
- Gen 1:1 “In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth…. And God said, Let there be light: and there was light” This is a new dawn in Nigeria, therefore in the image and likeness of our Maker, we say LET THERE BE LIGHT in Nigeria, upon all thrones – public, private, traditional; upon homes; upon the Church; upon markets and market places…everywhere. Let there be so much light in Nigeria, in the Church, and in my own life and family that “the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising” (Isaiah 60.3); in the mighty name of Jesus Christ
- Gen 1.2b “And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters” Oh Spirit of the living God, as “in the beginning” of time, as in the beginning of the Church age at the Pentecost, please move over the face of Nigeria like never before, move in power, sovereignty and mercy; move to stir, navigate and propel Your people in God’s will; move to uproot and frustrate all the works and workers of darkness
- Gen 1:2 “And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep” Truly Nigeria has been without form; void of real progress; void of sustained righteousness, law and order; void of justice and equity; full of deep darkness of cultism, occultism, oppression, corruption etc. But NOW, it’s a new dawn and we decree, ALL darkness give way, disperse, disappear in the mighty name of Jesus Christ
- Isa 60:2.19 “For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and His glory shall be seen upon thee…. The sun shall be no more thy light by day; neither for brightness shall the moon give light unto thee: but the LORD shall be unto thee an everlasting light, and thy God thy glory” In this new dawn of Nigeria, we refuse to settle for just the light of the sun, moon and stars. Eternal God, we proclaim You our “everlasting Light” and our glory. Irrespective of what is happening across the nations of the earth, Your glory shall be seen upon Nigeria and upon all true and faithful believers of God in Nigeria. Lord let Your light be seen upon me too, and use me to spread light.
- Mat 5:14 “Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid” It’s a new dawn, therefore, any throne in Nigeria habouring darkness in Nigeria today, realign and vomit them. We decree that every election, selection, appointment, promotion etc in the public and private sector as well as traditional thrones etc shall only produce light….STRICTLY NO DARKNESS or AGENT OF DARKNESS; no Jihadist, cultist, occultist. Only persons that can advance the agenda of God. Let every light that God has prepared for this new dawn be set on a hill and not be hidden, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ
- Mat 5:13 “Ye are the salt of the earth”; also 2Ki 2:21 “And he went forth unto the spring of the waters, and cast the salt in there, and said, Thus saith the LORD, I have healed these waters; there shall not be from thence any more death or barren land” We decree that henceforth, every election, selection, appointment, promotion etc in the public and private sector, traditional thrones etc shall be a casting of salt “unto the spring of the waters”, the waters of laws, policies, budgets, appoints etc for the economy, education, the polity etc. Let every person that shall rise by any means whatsoever henceforth be healing salt that shall take away bitterness and barrenness from this pleasant and richly endowed land, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen
- Exo_15:8 “And with the blast of thy nostrils the waters were gathered together, the floods stood upright as an heap, and the depths were congealed in the heart of the sea.” Almighty God, as you dried up the floods of Noah, as you parted the Red Sea, in Your mercy, let the floods across Nigeria be dried up…and give the government of Nigeria wisdom to do the needful, that there be no more avoidable floods
- Pray other prayers for current national issues as your have observed or are burdened to pray. Pray also for the ongoing political transition process that there be no hijack, and the next leader shall be of God.
- SPECIAL PRAYER: Lord have mercy on Leah Sharibu and all others abducted and still in the hands of their captors. Stretch forth Your hand and set free. (d) Defend Your children from Jihad in S/Kaduna, Jos and other Christian territories (c.) Have mercy on IDPs and enable them return to their homes.
